The Signal Hill Tour

See Antigua from a different perspective with our signature hike The Signal Hill Tour. Footsteps Rainforest Hiking Tours will leave you feeling relaxed, revitalised and with a whole host of wonderful memory.

Starting from the Fig Tree Studio Art Gallery, the tour takes our hikers through the Rainforest to the historical Walling’s Dam, further down the track an oasis awaits you. The dam itself and the lake are surrounded by a picnic area which is a perfect pit stop.

The tour continue flowing the track into the Rainforest, up to Signal Hill which gives you beautiful 360 degree view of Antigua, see the first beach that Columbus landed on Carlie Bay, one of Antigua largest Pine Apple Farm Claremont Farm to Rendezvous Bay and on to Falmouth, or just give you a wonderful opportunity to have a bird’s eye view of the backdrop of flora, fauna and numerous bird species in the rainforest.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need to wear appropriate walking shoes, hiking shoes, such as trainers or walking boots are highly recommended. Flip flops and other beach shoes aren’t suitable for the terrain in the rainforest.

Walking Tours are every Tuesdays and Thursdays departing at 9:00 am, although under Rainforest most of the time many of the trails become open, so be sure to wear a hat and some sun block would be nice to have with you as well.

FITNESS REQUIREMENTS

The hike is suitable for adults and children of medium fitness. No unaccompanied minors. The duration of the hike is approximately 2 hours and there are some steep areas.

Contact us to arrange a custom tour with all details organized to your liking.. We offer tours to alternative locations such as Rendezvous Bay and can organise lunch if desired.

Walking Tours are every Tuesdays and Thursdays departing at 9:00 am. Tours on other days can be arranged if needed. Booking required and payments are made before the hike starts at the Fig Tree Studio Art Gallery.
